EPP – WOMEN
|
At the EPPW meeting in Warsaw in April 2015, six women spoke about the past 25 years of post-Communist democracy. They represented Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Poland and Romania. Although great strides have been made three themes emerged:
the need for quotas to be enshrined in law for women in all walks of life from politics to business;
economic empowerment of women;
and the need to curtail domestic violence.
